Pools are pretty much my life, so that it is no surprise I find them interesting. Plus, I do need to find something to write about on this particular pool site, so how about some interesting facts about swimming pools? For the current post, I needed to dig a bit deeper, to really dive to the data, swim-merse myself into the buzzfed world of amazing and the sensational. Following are the things you should know before going ahead for pool design. 1. Pool water is no different from tap water
2. Swimming pools are not chemical soups, full of all sorts of "chemicals". Most pool water is very sanitary, being filtered daily, with balanced chemistry with hardly any chemicals used. 3. There are far more pools with designs having vinyl liner than any other pool kind 4. A tunnel passage permits without being seen by nosy reporters or secret agents, the First Family to get to the pool area! 5. The titanic was the first ocean liner to have a swimming pool 6. And would you consider, it is still holding water! Ha ha - but seriously people - having a swimming pool aboard a luxurious cruise liner proved to be a new thing in those days. Sure, the pool was just 10x20' and full of cold North Atlantic sea water, but to the serious exercise enthusiast having time and a long voyage to kill, it was a real blessing. 7. The pool filter is 105 years old - happy birthday! Now, although fast adoption of the rapid sand filter didn't take place until a few years later with circulation and filtration, a pool need not be constantly fed fresh water to stay healthy and clean, but the water can be re used! On the heels of the breakthrough was the utilization of chlorine to purify the water, to prevent the spread of disease.

When summer is at its height, there is nothing like dunking in the swimming pool in the backyard. But once the summer is over and so are the pool parties then the pool is a one big mess inside out.
